Chenaski is a brand from Germany making predominantly neo-70s disco shirts, founded by Pete Chenaski in 1998. Wanting to recreate the psychedelic, pop-art inspired clothing from the 60s and 70s, Chenaski makes shirts inspired by prints from that era, with vivid colours and eclectic patterns. As well as their eye-catching funky shirts, Chenaski also make corduroy jackets and flared jeans. Chenaski clothing wouldn't look out of place worn in a music video from the 70s, or by David Bowie, Elton John, ABBA, or the Bee Gees.

Following on from the creative and sexual liberation of the 1960s, the disco craze in the 70s saw fashion embrace the funky, eccentric, and glamourous. Platform shoes, bell bottoms, and colourful prints were all exploding in popularity, reflecting the freedom and interest in self-expression of the era. Films like Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta, as well as the style of the stars who frequented New York City's Studio 54 nightclub epitomised this look, and we've seen a return to 70s styling in the past few years.
