The company name comes from a river called Lambro, which was close to the Lambretta factory in Italy. Despite being formed in 1997, Lambretta clothing takes inspiration from the mod scene of the ‘60s and delivers authentic mod designs, much like its legendary scooter. The company was quickly adopted by many subcultures like mod revivalists, teddy boys, soulboys, scooterists, ska, soft pop, Brit pop, and suedeheads.
Starting from making scooters that represented the mod way of life, Lambretta has now become a full-fledged mod lifestyle brand. Well-known for its fine craftsmanship, high-quality standards, and innate attention to detail, Lambretta is a respectable global brand that played a massive part in shaping subcultures during the majority of the 20th century.
