Trojan Records is a British record label founded in 1968 as a merger between Island Records and B&C Records, which branched into clothing in 2012. The record company specialises in ska, reggae and dub music, the name coming from the title Arthur 'Duke' Reid, legendary producer of ska and rock steady music, was given during his early days in the music business, due to the Trojan truck which was used as his sound system in Jamaica. The label had almost 30 hit singles in the UK charts between 1969 and 1976.

After launching, Trojan Records began issuing singles highlighting music from a range of esteemed producers, such as Robert ‘Dandy’ Thompson, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Edward ‘Bunny’ Lee and, of course, Duke Reid himself. Part of the reason that the label grew so quickly in its first year was due to the skinheads, a 1960s working class youth subculture who were greatly influenced by Jamaican music and rudeboy style. Trojan's first hit was 'Red Red Wine' by Tony Tribe in the summer of '69, its first UK number one being 'Double Barrel' by Dave & Ansel Collins in 1971. The label also highlighted lesser known artists from Jamaica - amongst whom was Kingston-based trio Bob Marley & The Wailers.

In 1975, the label was acquired by a new owner, Marcel Rodd, after experiencing financial difficulties. Despite Rodd's inexperience with Jamaican music meaning the label struggled throughout the latter half of the seventies, the 'Ska Revival' which happened at the end of the decade meant that the label experienced a sudden increase in sales and popularity. Bands such as The Specials and Madness created renewed interest in vintage ska and reggae classics, causing Trojan to thrive again.

In the summer of 2012, Trojan Records launched a small clothing collection as a sub-brand for Lambretta. Due to the popularity of the collection, Trojan launched as its own clothing brand in 2015. The brand is known for high-quality, retro ska-inspired pieces including Harrington jackets, Crombie jackets, polo shirts, and branded t-shirts, appealing to anyone who either identifies as a skinhead, soul boy, rude boy, mod, or just loves those styles.
