Fans London started life as a punk shop in Charing Cross Road, London in 1979, selling bondage trousers, ripped t-shirts, punk badges and a wide array of punk clothing, soon after Seditionaries’ and Boy London started on the Kings Road in Chelsea. The stand-out feature of the shop was the volume of the ear-splintering punk music that was played all day. Eventually the developers knocked the building down, in about 1981.
The owner moved on and in 2005 started an online web store that started life as Viper London. He started using the Fans London name again on a range of tight-fitting cotton T-shirts and bellbottom jeans for women. The range continues to grow.
